Amoria Bond Banking & Finance are looking for a Business Analyst to work for our client in North-Holland.The client wants a suitable and consistent approach of the savings market in approaching new and existing clients, selling new or existing savings products and pricing. To support this, knowledge of our customers and insight in our liabilities is essential to be able to optimize stable funding and to implement Basel III compliancy. Currently, there is no insight in the full savings portfolio on the Group level. The project supports this by implementing a central data repository containing all (historical) savings data from the entire client Group and allowing Group Risk Management to analyze this data and use the results to steer on stable funding. The Role The Business Analyst is the primary contact with our stakeholders and is responsible for identifying, modelling, documenting and prioritizing the functional and non-functional requirements of the business and business domain details. The Business Analyst represents customer and end-user concerns by gathering input from stakeholders to understand the problem to be solved and by capturing and setting priorities for requirements. They may also help to identify potential areas of automation and support or advise the business in reengineering the underlying business process. The Business Analyst acts as the liaison between our customers and IT in order to deliver effective and cost-efficient solutions and is proactively involved in the entire software development process in order to ensure successful delivery of the system or release. Tasks, deliverables and responsibilities * Your primary work area is system improvement and process modelling/analysis in one or two functional domain(s). * Define systems and project scope/ objectives through research, fact finding, and elicitation with a solid understanding of business, systems, and requirements. * High impact (tactical) advice on a senior management level * Translate business requirements into (possible IT) solution requirements * You are responsible for requirements documentation and assist in developing and deploying the solution. * Participate in testing of applications against requirements. Required experience * Multiple years experience in international wholesale or retail banking and/or * Multiple years experience in business analysis * You are self-starting and can work independently. * You are good at detecting, understanding and documenting customers' wishes and needs; responding and anticipating to this. You think from a customer's perspective and are aimed at realising customer value and improving service provision. * You are actively focusing on achieving results and reaching the goals of the organisation or the unit. You are looking for challenges and identify and create opportunities to improve results. * You are able to relay requirements, ideas and opinions clearly, comprehensibly and correctly (in English and Dutch, both verbally and in writing). You have working knowledge of Use Case diagrams and Use Case specifications. * You have knowledge of and experience with wholesale and retail banking and ICT in general and Risk Management in particular and a pro active eagerness to watch trends and developments within the domain to identify new business opportunities. Knowledge of the Basel II framework is an advantage. * You use your domain knowledge and judgment to challenge our customers' questions and proposed solutions. * You have knowledge of and experience with software engineering methodologies, preferably OpenUp/Agile/RUP. * You have experience with using workshops to elicit requirements or facilitate decision making. * You have working knowledge of and experience with datawarehouses, business intelligence data models (dimensional modeling, star schema data models), reporting (Business Objects, Microsoft Reporting Services), interfaces (XML and other file based formats) and data extraction, conversion and enrichment Start: ASAPDuration: until July 2012Location: The NetherlandsIf you see a match with your profile, please send your CV today along with your rate.N.B.
