Sales Engineer/ Hosting/ VMware / NetApp/ Linux / Storage / Microsoft / London. Our client is a pan European service provider of Cloud, Storage, Datacentres and Connectivity (MPLS, VPN, Internet, Bandwidth) and Video services to Corporate customers. As part of their continued expansion they now seek a Hosting Sales Engineer to provide pre-sales engineering support to the Senior Sales Engineers. You will have demonstrable technical skills across Hosting, with excellent knowledge of an excellent and practical understanding of the following: Linux, Microsoft Server products, VMWare, Databases, Storage (NetApp), Firewalls (Checkpoint, Cisco), VPNs, Intel based Server Hardware, Loadbalancers (F5), IT Applications and TCP/IP in a LAN/WAN environment.A strong demonstrable understanding of QoS and WAN Optimisation, MPLS VPNs (Routing Protocols - BGP, OSPF), Ethernet (Switching, Spanning-Tree, VPLS).Customer facing, you must also have good communication skills and be willing to undertake the necessary research to aid the production of detailed technical designs from high level design concepts whilst being able to provide technical input. Vendor qualifications with VmWare, Radhat, Microsoft, NetApp etc would be advantageous
